About My Campaign:
Ward 2 is a diverse and vibrant part of Regina with unique opportunities and challenges. As your councillor, I will work hard to represent the interests of Ward 2 residents, helping to make Harbour Landing and Albert Park desirable places to live, work, and play. Ward 2 deserves a councillor who can provide fresh ideas and future-oriented leadership. Too often, councillor Bob Hawkins has been on the wrong side of important issues, using outdated ideas to try to fix 21st century problems. Vote for change in Ward 2!
As a university researcher and educator, I’ve come to understand that communities thrive when there’s thoughtful investment and support for people’s basic needs like housing, transportation, and healthy living. As your City Councilor, I will prioritize:
Affordability
- Prioritize housing by reducing red tape and supporting innovative residential and commercial zoning for Ward 2
- Invest in active transportation, improve transit service, and introduce no-cost rides for youth under 18
Parks, libraries, recreational facilities
- Increase the accessibility of our parks and other green spaces and enhance existing amenities
- Invest in maintenance so everyone can enjoy our public spaces
- Invest in high-quality recreational facilities, libraries, and other public spaces
A City Council that works for everyone
- End City Hall indecision and gridlock that have delayed much needed upgrades to libraries, facilities, and infrastructure
- Hold Council accountable for its promises to pursue Truth and Reconciliation, end Homelessness, and achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050
- Take full advantage of Federal and Provincial partnerships and funding for housing and other initiatives
